Graphical Manipulations #13: Berlusconi, Cardinal Pell, Urban Aborigines And 27 Percentage Points!

We’ve galloped into week two of the Federal Parliamentary recess with all the eager anticipation of a nation taking respite from a hot and humid drought which has just been broken by a cool change and a light dusting of raindrops.  Ahhh, the smell of rain on the dry earth!  Such is the relief, free from the tedious yawping of gormless politicians whining persistently about Julia Gillard, boat arrivals, poor government, yada, yada, yada.  And, supported by an equally tedious mainstream media spreading rumours of rumours rumoured by rumourmongers.  To cap it off, Christmas rears its ugly capitalismo expendioso on the horizon and the credit cards tremble in fear and trepidation.

And now to those little tidbits of the week.  We’ve been enlightened that the disgraced Berlusconi is still paying women whose lives were ostensibly ruined by the allegations of prosecutors that they were prostitutes.  It’s understood that the truth is somewhat different;

Finally the politician’s have realised that, despite the influential dilemma between Church and State, the populace have reached a point where a Royal Commission related to paedophilia might be the best approach to an increasingly angry voting public, who may very well take that anger to the ballot box.  Let’s hope that, given the noises made by the Catholic Church to widen the ambit of the Commission to include all and sundry, that it doesn’t become bigger than Ben Hur, as lengthy as a geological aeon and about as effective as antibiotics on a superbug.  Its time for the paedophilia issue to be sorted, not thwarted!;

Not given the parliamentary opportunity to have a go at Julia, our favourite trogdolyte Tony Abbott does the old ‘foot in mouth’ trick and dishes it out to one of his own (just because he’s of Aboriginal descent).  You really have to wonder don’t you;

Capping it all off, Tony Abbott polls a measly 27% in the ‘Supporters of Abbot’ camp.  A tag on Twitter related to this literally goes viral and dishes it all out.  Mind you some of the comments are not particularly nice and probably unprintable – but they do give one a bit of a laugh;

And of course, we have the usual ending:  “If there was ever an individual so totally undeserving of high office then that person is, unquestionably, Tony Abbott.  We don’t need a negative, 19th century trogdolyte as Prime Minister of this country.”
