Graphical Manipulations #54: Weaponry, Mantra’s, And Rats, Conventional and Otherwise!

Another fairly unremarkable week has trundled by leaving us to contemplate a dearth of information about the newly elected government which seem to be very intent on maintaining maximum security and minimal contact with a media that did them so many favours prior to September 7! Ah well, we’ll just have to contemplate other things, make up fanciful stories, or even (heaven forbid) watch some inane junkfest on commercial TV!

Perusing the webworld of graphics led to the discovery this delightful piece of homeliness which seemed to warrant a homily, and that led to;

Anti tank gun

And we were lucky enough to catch Ian Macfarlane’s little tirade against those indolent ne’er-do wells who don’t like FRACKING.  Their obstructionist behaviour brought forth the conservative’s automatic response to disagreement with their views.  Suitably embellished that ended up as;

Conservative Mantra

And not to be outdone, that Rat was back with his jaundiced view of the proceedings of the week with;

Banned Rat

And the obvious step by Indonesia to ‘stick one up’ those pushy bloody Australians for their lack of panache with;

Boats Away

Which was even further enhanced by that charmingly naïve ‘passing irritant’ comment from our very own Prime Minister, Tony ‘Jubya’ Abbott;

Passing Incident Rat

That led to thinking about the shape of the future and the characters of the people who will rule over us for the next three years ! Ewwwwwww!  Such thoughts led to thoughts of Joe ‘Mr Eleventy’ Hockey;

Hockey Paraprosdokian

And then to Malcolm ‘Fraudband’ Turnbull;

Parprosdokian Turnbull

And to our very own piece of nastiness Scott ‘TURN BACK BOATS’ Morrison and his militaristic manipulations;

Sovreign Stupidity

And then to good old Barnaby Joyce and co-dib, dib, dabbler George Brandis and their apparent opportunistic assault on the public purse bought forth another adventure in collective nouns with;

Collective Nounery Morrison Joyce

And finally after watching our new Prime Minister meet the President of Indonesia with the gormless thrust of his aggressive persona into President Yudhoyon’s personal space and then his halting, stumbling speech led (embarrassingly) to this;

Wrong Abbott

 And there we have it (sans the usual end bit now that it’s all over until the next time or earlier if there’s a double dissolution sometime in the next 12 to 18 months especially if Jubya Abbott gets really pissed off by a recalcitrant and obstructionary Senate or the Indonesian’s don’t invade us for behaving like white supremacist colonialists)!

    More excellent GMs deknarf. 🙂

    Noticed in The Drum some RW commenters have decided to rewrite history with claims that Abbott was LOTO for 6 years. So much for erasing Brendan Nelson & Malcolm Turnbull from Liberal history. It will be St Tony of Forestville any day now. He makes me feel nauseous.

        He sure is. His first trip to Indonesia as PM seems to have gone to his head as he’s bragging about how well he got on with SBY & claims the Indonesian President accepted him as “Howard’s political son & heir”. Says that Howard & Yudhoyono had a very strong relationship & he was benefiting from that. He doesn’t seem able stop flapping his gums. Not very diplomatic or discreet.

          I’d really appreciate a REAL leader as PM of this country, and wouldn’t care particularly about the political persuasion, if they government for everyone. And what do we have, mediocre leftovers! Leadership qualities in our politicians has been going downhill since Whltlam & Keating! Mediocre governance = mediocre country!

    Abbott is an appalling speaker. And to think people complained about Gillard’s manner of speech. The last 3 years have been a complete conjob.
