Graphical Manipulations #58: Leaky Roofs, Worries, Fiscality, Benefits, Politicisation, Digital Support, The Rat, And Regretfulness!

Whilst thinking about how this Graphical Manipulation might be constructed I was watching a pill bug (Armadillidae spps), who had somehow got into the house, as it struggled across, to it, and infinite expanse of carpet made of bamboo fibre (more a bamboo desert than a bamboo curtain I imagine).  This intrepid crustacean was moving across this expanse of uniformity, untrammelled by the extraneous, it’s sole purpose to get – somewhere, anywhere that would be dark, warm, non-dessicating and safe!  That little pill bug was strangely reminiscent, I thought, of the NO Coalition.  An armour plated, small-brained, multi-legged detritus feeder, with a visionary horizon severely limited by ommatidian eyes.  A little bug, who, when threatened, curls itself into a tight ball and imagines that the danger has vanished.  Or, if it remains curled up and on the defensive long enough, those that threaten will lose interest eventually, give up and go way!

I felt sorry for that pill bug, so I picked up that little defensive ball (it obviously saw an atheist, lefty as a serious threat), and took it outside into the big wide world, confident that, somewhere, it would find it’s little niche and in a wider, more diverse and interesting world explore new interests.  After have given the pill bug its freedom I realised that my efforts, and expectations, were a futile gesture, given that pill bug’s capacity!  Anyhow, enough of the rumination!

Syria and its ever present war still features in the news and the wanton destruction of both people and property never ceases to bemuse.  Why would you destroy the property that you hope to return to/live in when the war has gone?  Thoughts of the stupid inanity of it all led to;

Leaky Roof

Stupid inanities led to general worrying and then to what one would consider a major worry, the future fate of Oz under the NO Coalition and what might be the alternative;

Its a worry

And that led to thinking about the fiscal emergency that now, apparently, isn’t and the proud announcement that our new financial guru’s Mr Eleventy, Joe Hockey and Mathias Corman were leading us deeper into debt;

Fiscal Emergency

Consideration of debt led to thinking about debtors and that let to creditors and to taking credit, which led to credible excuses and that let to rorts – sorry, benefits;

Just rewards

Thoughts then turned to benefits by other means and the taking of such benefits for political purposes and that led to accusations of the politicisation of tragedies and to this;

Look at me Abbott

And then the rat returned for a couple of quick ones while complaining that the mainstream media and the politicians weren’t fulfilling their obligations of giving rattus enough laughing matters to, well, laugh about!  So he started with this;

Budget Crisis Rat

And because he wasn’t one of the invitees, narkily provided this little snippet;

Wheres my invite

Once the rat had departed thoughts turned once again to the NO Coalition and to the person who had asked whether yours truly was a supporter of the conservatives.  The response to the enquiry was unprintable, and the following provides a short synopsis of the expressively verbal response;

Coalition Support

And that lead to thoughts of the need for a slogan which epitomised how many were now feeling that our new government wasn’t really up to scratch.  This seemed to fit;

NC not doing it for you

Which led to thoughts about how we had all be nicely conned by THREE WORD SLOGANS, false promises and not much else, and that led to;

Wheres the carnival

And there we have it (sans the usual end bit now that it’s all over until the next time or earlier if there’s a double dissolution sometime in the next 12 to 18 months especially of Jubya Abbott gets really pissed off by a recalcitrant and obstructionary Senate or the Indonesian’s don’t invade us for behaving like white supremacist colonialists or Jubya doesn’t have half his cabinet step down because they been playing fast and loose with the government coffers or he doesn’t end up dying from apology exhaustion to those Northerners who have adopted the view that the white colonialists are no longer the overlords and often say foolishly stupid things when they open their mouths, or that Tony Abbott might actually string a coherent sentence together without any ah’s in it thereby eliciting fear and panic from those who consider such brain resets to be essential to English expression)!
