Graphical Manipulations #79: Tigers, Bigots, Memory, The Rat, Books, Malappropriates And Burnings!

Someone, somewhere, once said that we get the governments we deserve.  And this little graphic manipulator’s prompt response to such a question is; “what have we done to deserve this?”  Are we so xenophobic, so bigoted, so uncaring about other people that we are prepared to tolerate a government, lead by such as Tony Abbott, and permit it to trash just about every value that makes us human?  Well it seems that we are; well at least while it is not us.  It will be interesting to watch the response when the trashing is done to us and ours.  Somehow I suspect that that being done to “others” is the pre-show rehearsal of that which will be done to “us”!  So stay tuned, you may soon be part of the main event!!  Lucky you, eh?

In the search for the appropriate graphic you often come across photo’s which capture the very essence of some moment in time.  The tiger graphic is one of those, and being my favourite animal, one I found quite beautiful, of Siberian tigers coming to a meal.  That made me think that it soon might be that photo’s like this may be all that future generations may have of such majesty.  And that led to this;

As with all things majestic there is always the counterpoint of things that creep about in dark places full of malice and deceit.  Why such thoughts should come to mind I have no idea, when I consider;

And then we have such as Arthur Sinodinos who appears not only to have been unaware of who the shareholders in Australian Water Holdings were but also not quite sure of just how much he was paid in director fees.  That led to;

And then The Rat came back with his jaundiced view of the political week.  He was impressed with the government’s firm rejection of further business handouts;

Amused by the Indonesian fisherman who had the temerity to seek redress for the nasty Australian government burning his boat;

Impressed with Arthur Sinodinos’ recompense for a couple of board meetings;

And apoplectic with laughter with Tony . . . ahhh . . . Abbott’s recognition of the ultimate conservationists, ultimate conservationists;

We wondered whether someone with this level of visionary thought was the ideal leader for the country, and that led to;

Which led to rumours of a new book, well more a short story about the placement of drones in a mysterious land know as South Australia;

And finally, creating red tape bonfires caught the eye and resulted in this little piece of incandescence;

Afterthought:  This NO Coalition Government is trashing the good standing of Australia.  It cares little about its people in its fanatical pursuit of ultra-conservative ideology.  It is using the weapons of minority xenophobia, the secret fears and uncertainty of the general public and blatant propaganda, aided by a complaisant media, to turn this country into something is has never been – bigoted, racist, xenophobic, selfish, self-indulgent, self-obsessed, uncaring and a disgrace to all those things that have made Australia a great country! Tolerance, mateship, community, fairness, honesty and a love of freedom in both speech and expression!

Postscript:  All characters appearing in this work are entirely, and amazingly, fictitious.  Any resemblance to real persons, living, dead or in a zombie like state, is purely coincidental with an exceptionally high probability of being the construct of a deluded mind trying to grasp the true meaning of the political unreality of Australian politics, al la NO Coalition!  We can only gaze upon such greatness with wonderment!
